What we do

Vaal Plumbers is a referral service. When you ask for a quote, we pass your request to independent plumbing businesses that work in your area so they can contact you. We do not do plumbing work ourselves.

What we collect

Your name, phone number, the area of your property, property type, the plumbing problem you describe, how urgently you need help, and any notes you add. If you call or WhatsApp us, we keep a record of your number, the time and the job you need, and we may record calls, so we can pass your job on accurately and resolve disputes. We also collect technical data such as the advert you clicked and your browser type.

Why we collect it

To match you with a plumber for the job you asked about, to let that plumber contact you, to check the quality of our service, and to measure which adverts work. We process your information with your consent, which you give when you submit the form or call us.

Who we share it with

We share your request with up to three independent plumbing businesses that serve your area. Those businesses pay us a referral fee. Each plumber is responsible for how they use your information once they receive it. We use service providers to host this website, store form submissions and route calls. We do not sell your information to marketers or list brokers.

How long we keep it

We keep lead records for up to 24 months for billing, quality and dispute purposes, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email [privacy email]. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za.
